I have grown very bored and slightly ill at the tone of the various political threads currently being debated.  From talking about why recently deceased President Reagan is a complete bastard to hoping current President Bush dies from an assasin's bullet, the Liberals and  Leftists et. al. are having field days spouting their particular brand of hate.

Have at it boys, I'm through(for a while).

Arguing with you is like arguing with a rock, a very dense, immovable rock and I have stopped being amused by how low the Left is willing to sink to win an argument or other contest.

At any rate, I feel that the atmosphere needs to be lightened a bit so I have gather some of Fark.com's best article's of the day.

Ah yes their hate versus your hate. It is true though that anti-gay threads are more entertaining at times than anti-Bush ones. :)

Bobboau, do you think it'd be possible to harness that power? Then again the results could be devastating... :p

Didn't say I was leaving.  I realized I have a more stimulating discussion talking with an0n and Tiara about Star Trek than I could hope to have with Rictor about Politics or Kazan about Religion.

I'm just tired of all the back-biting that goes on between people who probably have more in common than they know because they are always arguing about something, anything in some peoples cases.

I'm just going to concetrate on my education and maybe release something that's actually useful from a modding standpoint.  WC's modular tables got me thinking.

I know I'm good but I didn't know I could be stimulating just by talking about Star trek :D

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

That's the sign of a good political debate. Ever been in one where one side just gave up and said, "Screw it, you're right."? Boooooooooooring. :p

In other words, he's tired of losing the argument.  j/k lib.

Yeah, there are a lot of political debates, but that's good.  U just never see me in them, my brain can't function at that level.  I start to think "smart" and I pee on myself.

I gotta really feel passionate about it for me to waste the brain cells.  Cells I rather use for other things, like look at porn.

The problem is, everyone (myself included) is arguing to win, not to learn, which never leads anywhere. Everyone just tries to defend their points, and when they are proven wrong, they either leave or come up with a new line of thought to compensate.

Well, that, and the fact that I am a not only a master debater but a cunning lunguist as well. :nervous: :nervous:

That "trece"  is supposed to be tres :p just to let you know :nervous:

Now, myself and many others weren't alive when Reagan was ruling America, so only those who did talk about him, were entitled to their opinion as are you. If you wish to disagree you can, but at least do it in the proper thread. About the "bush assassination" I find it sad that you believe we weren't joking (as most of us were). :wtf: :doubt:

As for the arguing, it is part of the democratic process (at least in my country!! :p), a very important part might I add. Without studburn people that have a diferent point of view, how are those views going to be presented to the ruling body? If that idea is wrong or there is one idea better, then.... well... survival of the strongest. A good discution always needs more than one "rock", or else it's not a discution but instead a monologue! By arguing over and over again, you will be... breaking (polishing) those rocks and eventually... well... someone prevails.

Thank you for the interesting articles and please continue sharing your points of views to the rest of this great community. :)

You're the one who decided to make an ass out of yourself, not us. Your the one who decided to start flaming people for having different political opinions than you. Yet now you start blaming us for your "ill tone"?
