But I don't think there's anything wrong with this. If someone wants to donate their kidney, and law prevents them from saving a person's life, its up to them if they want to lie about it. Their body, their choice.

Nice to see religious people doing something good for a change. For once I'm on the side of the religious against the secular government.

Of course if the country would just switch over to an opt out policy on transplants then there wouldn't be a need for any of this.

That's what I reckon - if someone feels that strongly about having their organs hang around when they don't need them, then they can request it.  Otherwise, sling 'em into someone else.

It's just, y'know, that if this is a proper cult, then do these people actually appreciate they're donating?  i mean, they're not brainwashed into it, are they?

There are several definitions of 'cult' one basicly means religion. So yes it is true that Christianity is a 'cult'. As is New-age, Hindu, Budist, Atheism, Deism, etc.

Yep. That's what I meant by opting out.

As for the brainwashing thing I'm not even going to get started on the parallels between evil cult brainwashing and what all the major religion do.
