big was of course relitively speacking, compared to the fighter you are in it's big.

glow maps are probly the easiest thing to do, and I figured that HW had glow maps too so why not, I ask this stuff becase I've been wanting some good vids like this so I can use it to show off to people

FSO uses alpha maps to do glows, yes?

That is a typical HW2 glow map. Green is lit, black is off, and I dont know WTF blue is. From what I can tell it's off too. Sure, this one looks easy to modify, it is, but not all of them are this easy.

@Thorn; FSO uses a second color map for glowmapping, you just make a version of the texture that is unlit (ie only self ilumination)

Nope, shine uses an alpha map.

Perhaps thorn has found a part of the secret coding that triggers the blue sreen of death.  When all of the lighting is aligned upon the texture in exactly the right manner (ie most of the time) windows summons forth the chaos within and unleash the doom that is the blue screen of death.
