Some of you may remember me from awhile ago, when i was still apart of the freespace forums. Well its been awhile since i have been back, i havent been here since the start of the rumor's about getting Freespace 2's source code. What brought me back was something very exciting to hear. Yesterday, i was in the gamespot.com website and i clicked on the latest news link to see what was up. To my surprise and complete shock, i saw an article about Derek Smart potentially creating a Freespace 3. Of course i had no idea who he was so i read the article and became quite anxious to see what is going to happen and very excited that maybe, finally a Freespace 3 would be made. I also saw when i first visited HLP again, that you did actually receive the source code for Freespace 2 (if im not mistaken). I am writing to you now to see what interesting changes you have made to Freespace 2 with the source code, and also to get anymore information on Derek Smart and Freespace 3.
