i just downloaded the shine map v2.0 pack... where do i put it?

i heared something that i need v1.1c also i tryed search but couldnt find. so can some 1 link me?

by the way isnt those file include in SCP 3.6?

Yes, they are. Just nab that installer and just have it install all the files you need into your folder, and you should be set. Shinemaps came with all the versions after a certain period.

i dont get it what shine maps do anyway? i got radeon 9500pro with cata 4.6 ... what its supose to do? can i have a picture with shinemap?

and u sure i dont need to put the v2.0 some where?

Shine maps basically tell certain parts of the ship to reflect light while others remain dull.

The problem is that there is a bug in the latest set of Catalyst drivers which means that you won't see any shine maps with anything beyond (I think)  4.4.

Media vp files ALWAYS go in the main Freespace2  folder.  The only exception to this is any file described as breaking multiplayer which you may want to keep seperate.

Have a look at my installing FS2_Open guide below. It's old now but the basics involved haven't changed much.
