1. Im in silent threat camping (port), my poilts are dumb ass who cant fly a ****! im in  a mission where i need to destroy the GTI base, then the big ship arrive from no where taking the survive pods and im told i need to destroy that ****!. i did this mission for 2030230 times , one time i was in 30% of her health with 5 of my epsilon wing remain("the calvary has arrived"), and then a missle hitted me from no where and i died after killing 40 ships by my own!!!!
the other time i trying to do this all my poilts die in the few seconds of the game! its impossible! im sick of this mission and i dont have time to fail 5 times to skip

2. in freespace 2 im trying to see the intro movie while my disk is on(im using scp version by the way), and its not working. i tryed to move the intro.mve to data dir! and still not working! nothing nada! im in completley mess.

1. You can't skip this mission cause it's the last one. Sadly it's the worst Freespace mission ever written. Try flying a bomber or simply find one of the blind spots on the hades and tape down your fire button.

2. MVE's won't work with FS2_Open as Interplay insisted that the MVE code was ripped out. Have a look on the Freespace FTP for avi versions of the movies.

RE 2: I'm not sure ecxactly what you mean, but the SCP doesn't show any MVE files - Volition had to remove the playing code because MVE is an internal Interplay standard, i.e. copyrighted to them and hence unreleasable.

I think you can pick up avi format replacements for the intro, etc, cutscenes though.

what ever i do i cant get in FREESPACE ftp its always telling me freespacer is in use....

i have the retail there is no way u say i can watch the movies?

and about the mission! OMG im FRIgging lossing my mind!!!!!

and besides is there any movies from silent threat in the ftp

those are the only movies i never saw because i never had silent threat, and its a good thing i never had it this expensive suck. its annoying and if u say its the last mission so its short ! damn i preffer a mod!. its not even the fricking story! i playing silent threat though its pretty suck compare to fs2 for the story of what happend next after the lucifer has been destroyed! and they only told they cant communicate with earth

1) Grab an Ursa and sit in the crevice just underneath the Hades' belly, and just shoot at it until it blows up.

2) You can't play the movies with the SCP. Period. If you want to watch the movies, you have to load up stock FS2, whether or not you have the retail version. The SCP doesn't include the .mve code, so if you use it, you can't watch movies.

and you have to wait a while before you can get in, really wait for your turn

No way to play them on the SCP builds, and it'll "NEVER" happen

They can be converted but it's not a simple task. There is a program on the net called MVE2AVI which lets you convert the MVEs into uncompressed avi files (WARNING :  Intro is about 4GB in size when you do this). You can then use virtual dub to change them into the avi format of your choice.

I'd link you to MVE2AVI but Interplay frowned on that sort of thing and even with them living in a big carboard box I doubt the admins would be happy with me doing so.

A google search should turn it up though.

Are you sure it's not MVE2EXE you're thining of Kara?  Think I have that somewhere... and IIRc there was a point where FSO would accept the extracted exe files in place of the MVE equivalents (may have been pulled, due to the iffy copyright issues over MVE2EXE itself)

anyway i tryed i opened cmd worte(the movie was in mve2avi folder) pm32.exe intro.mve -log and nothing! just a black screen poping up and looked into the log i got this

I feel your pain.  Just keep your eye out for Silent Threat: Reborn - a FSPort mod that will retell the Silent Threat story.

Nope. There were lots of fan made single player missions included on the disk but Silent Threat itself was made by [V]

will it come anytime soon? for now i will skip silent threat such an ugly expasion... oh well...
