I've been out of the FS universe for quite some time.  Still remember the days of Descent Chronicles (Zarathud and pre FS2) and the mission archives.

The transplaced mission archives still exists ( http://archives.volitionwatch.com/fs1/missions/ ), but when I've downloaded missions for FS1 or FS2 from there, the zip files are corrupted to the point where they will not extract.   Most of the files downloaded are too short in length, so trying to extract from them fails.

Any other FS mission archives still online ?

Not really, not that I know of.

Skippy's campaign list is there, but it doesn't host the actual files, just links to project websites.

HLP has some plans on putting old VW Archives files available for download in gamespy download servers. Not as tidy as with Archives but at least you get what you need.

Thanks for all the responses.  I was disapointed that this might happen over a period of time.  Looks like it came to pass

Looked over at FilePlanet and what they have is extremely minimal, mostly the old demo's and patches, and what they have for missions/campaigns are the contest entries from way back.

I don't really need anymore missions currently, but just wanted to see what new ones were made since the games lost 'commercial' exposure and what had been made since the release of the source code.  Mostly to keep what I have up to date.

I was lucky to archive most of the FS1/FS2 missions/campaigns that were on DC, and have them filed away on CD, so if HLP does get access to some space where they can be posted, I'll try to upload all I have.  Looks like I have the original Derelict and BWO campaigns on the disks plus others in various stages of development   Not sure what their condition is for actually playing in the FS universe, but .....

Thanks for the 'welcome back' Holy Imperial Gloriano (man, that's a finger-full to type )   My registration never expired, even after 3 years of inactivity ???  Just looking around, see old familar names from that time long ago, and getting an email from Inquisitor a few months back rekindled my intrest in the best storyline space sim made   Great to see that the community is still so active.  And daveb still makes an appearence now and then !

Check the campaigns forum. There are quite a few stand alone missions on there (and a couple of campaigns too). Should keep you going for a while
