I'm tired of arguing with my friend about something, so I need info about Ninjas and Samuris and who would win in a fight

Who would win, Vote?

Unless the Ninja could convince the Samuri to take a drink or turn his back, the Samuri would win. Ninja weren't unstoppable killing machines, they worked mostly using poison and shadows. They were good at not being seen and avoiding fights ;)

They are actually the same thing.

Yep, throwing stars are actually moderately easy to dodge if you can see the person is about to throw it, besides, samuri, being a military unit wore scale armour, shuriken and particuarly shoken were not actually that good at piercing it with any force. So most of the body was quite well protected.
Samuri were better trained, and 1:1 face to face, a Samuri would win. The Ninja WERE created to kill Samuri, but not face to face.

Ninjas.. well... they're more or less spies and assassins.

so, head to head, Samurai would kill a ninja no problems..
unless of course, the Ninja kills a Samurai in his sleep :p
