Corrupted Campaign Files
I was looking through the campaigns on the VolitionWatch Archives, trying to find some that stirred my interest.  After downloading two of them, Dante's Ascension and Aftermath (for Freespace 2, not Freespace 1), I found that the .zip files were corrupted.  Does anyone have working copies of either file?  I would be very appreciative :).

The description for Dante's Ascension mentioned something about a fourth Knossos portal that the Vasudans already knew about.  I'm a sucker for those types of plots :D.

So...does anyone have working copies of these files, or am I just SOL? :p I've found some truly entertaining campaigns out there, and I'd hate to miss two more just because of a zip problem :).

I guess that makes it an official SOL, then :p

I have Aftermath, I think.  Gotta wait a few days until my computer gets put together...

You might want to try to use another ZIP application to open them. Seems like I got them to work that way but I dont remember.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other zip applications, and from what I've heard, things like WinZIP or WinRAR either cost money or place a time limit on the trial version.  I've actually become annoyed at how many files, particularly some recent trailers and new campaigns here at HLP, are in .rar format.  To me, .zip seems to be the better choice, since it's natively supported by Windows and doesn't require an outside program.  There's probably some other benefit I'm missing, though.

Rar is smaller.

Get WinRAR. It will nag at you if you don't register but if you use the shell options you won't even see that.

WinZip doesn't have a time limit in my experience.  It whines at you a lot, but it never does anything.

That's a relief.  I should have tried setting it up a while ago, to see if the time limit was actually enforced, but I was too lazy :p.
