i listin to music that actually takes some ability to play. When i hear most music on the radio i can pick it apart by ear "is just a bunch of slides and power chords...wee"

WHenver i hear music that makes a "tone" (like if the music starts to envoke hate) i turn it off. When it gets to the point when my emotions are being triggered against my will with it goes a little to far.

I hosted this song from Mechwarrior 2 on my webspace. When I listen to it, I picture a planet prepped for an ariel attack, and awaiting the enemy fleet. When the tempo picks up at around 1:10 I picture the fleet coming down from the clouds, luminous and frightening, and the music after that the "silent battle"

Hyperblast Redux from UT2K4 (also in my sig) I picture a faced paced either:

A) Scene of escape from one guy escaping from a group of heavily armed men in black armor.

B) A Freespace 2 battle between a heavily packed assault fleet attacking a destroyer and its enormous fighter escort. I actually plan to use that song in my level 5 for the campaign im making!

The Mechwarrior 2 OST is probably one of the best of its time bar none. You did exactaly what the track asked you to.
