Im sure the 'armor' has its good points, but can we please not make our soldiers look like the master chief?

IIRC, it's soft until vibrations from bullets or explosions act on it then it hardens to such a state that the bullet bounces off

Fire proof, Biological warefare protected, the ultimate weapon...

I mean this is the future, although I can't see how exactly the future will be fought we these vest

They also had beta stage camaflouge, that would project the enviroment to make the soldier invisible, believe it!

Seriously, the US is way too caught up in their own image. Putting 20 thousand dollars worth of equipment on a soldier will not make him any better at his job, nor will it magically boost his effectiveness by 500%. And then there is also the fact that combat soldiers are carrying around 40 pounds worth of stuff on their backs while attempting to engage in urban combat...

edit: its probably closer to 70-75 pounds, but I'm not enough of a military nut to know for sure...

I have to agree this is the future, but Rictor is RIGHT ON SPOT.

Training, and tactics first, equipment second. People who rely too much on their equipment loose their own edge.

I think the MC is a regular human, actually. A really beefed-up and surgically-enhanced one, but still human.
