Hello all first let me explain what this about. I have recently started a new internet radio stream that I call Quicks Mix. I'm currently working on getting a schedule for it made and included in this schedule is programing/live shows. One shows i'm considering is a Freespace Block.

Basicly the freespace block would consits of music/songs from freespace (1 & 2) it's self and music inspired/used in freelspace mods. Also music identfiable with freespace as well (Something like the most popular music to listen to while playing/modding freespace) It would also entail live chat/disscusions possibly interviews about freespace and it's mods.

The purpose of this thread is to see/hear you, the freespace community thoughts on this, how you would like to see the show any ideas you may have for it, genreal comments and possibly how you'd like to help out or contribute. So please share.

This can be music used in mods for freespace *ie babylon 5 mod and such* or inspired by freespace *ussaly used in mods anyway* and then music people can identify with freespace *ie weather playing or moding or you can just see huge freespace battles when you hear this peice of music* something like that.

I'm still working out a schedule for quicks mix. A basic schedule is now up and viewable on the site (http://qsd.xpi.org.uk click on Quick's Mix in the QSD navgation and then goto programing schedule) this is a start to the schedule, i don't have a set time except I know it will probley be a weekly show with repeats throught out the week. If you have times you'd like to see it by all means please do. But more then likely you can expect a monday or friday late afternoon/early evening timeslot.

Any other thoughts/suggestions/feedback/questions about this? As this block will be directed at the freespace/mod community it helps to know how much intrest there would be in somehting like this and some of the things you like to hear/find on the block. So please fire away.

Glad to hear that. The soonist I can see this block preimering is probley next month, one of the reasons why I wanted to see first if there was intrest and second what people would like to find during the program. I was considering submiting a news post but since i'm still fairly new to HLP and the freespace community I thought it best to wait. I guess now is as good a time so I will go ahead and do so and help get more of a respone/feedback/suggestions about the matter.

my only concers about this, are that even though is dead, and [V] is somewhere, the music was still copyrighted... its not like the source code, they didn't actually release it, and the abandonware fact still isn't our loophole... granted, distribution is allowed at a no cost non-commercial basis to friends and aquaintences, but distribution like this could be walking a very fine line... up to you though...

The Freespace music has been available for download on at least two sites I can think of for at least 3-4 years. If no one cared then I doubt anyone will care now.

Wow I drop out for a little while and all the sudden we have a radio show in the works and a convention in poland?

The best use for this would have to be campaign pimping and SCP progress it'd be kinda nice to hear bout that kinda stuff.

Hey all thanks for your feedback/support/ideas and such. Well it's now offical the freespace block will happen and will preimer live september 13th at 5pm mnt (7pm est, 4pm pst) on quicks mix!!

*bump* er I wanted to remind everyone and fix a mistake I just noticed now *opps* the freespace block is the 10th! (not the 13th, the 13th is the freelancer block) so I want to remind everyone that the 10th, firday tommorow at 5pm mnt time will be the preimer of the freespace block and of course it will be on every firday following the preimer.

I hope you all can tune in and join in on the disscusions and such and if you miss parts of the show or the entire show it is repeated through out the week just check the schedule for days and times for the repeats. See you all tommorow
