Don't take it out, just polyreduce. For an area that small, that many polys is disproportionate to the rest of the model.

It seems that as soon as i finish one model, i grow to hate it, and start a new one!!
I just made this one, and i have to say it´s the best looking so far, to me at least. I really love this one!! And the poly count is just 2600 polys. With triangulation, it would go to about 5000.
With a good paint job, it´s a beaut...

I love doing this ****!! I think i´m starting to get the hang of it.

You need to spend more polys on the cockpits and less on the details but I quite like both designs so I'm not going to complain too much

I like both of those designs, man - very clear form, plenty of details. You really are maturing very quickly in this - keep it up man, the sky's the limit.

you're still wasting polys on those tubes....Make 'em diamond shaped (rather than true round)

Don't know why, but the first one reminds me of the racers from F Zero

I´m working on this one now. Don´t know what to make it, a corvet or cruiser. Has a big fighterbay, so i don´t know yet...
Still a lot to do. I´ll post progress screenies as i go.
