I really don't understand why people(mostly project leaders) do not bother about the existance of the mod database. You have the opportunity of advertising you campaign in your hands and you are ignoring it!? Having at least half of the unhosted projects registered there would certainly convince non-HLP people there that FS2 still does exist and people here at HLP still have efforts in modding it. I think that is one of the few public not-only FS2 site where we can lure some attention to FS2 and we have yet done, or what we are still doing.

While I tend to agree, alot of te projects in the hosted subsection are inactive, and are presumed dead.

The active ones however should pimp wherever possible.

We need "Campaign Cemetary", where all inactive mods/campaigns/whatever are dumped. Of course, we also need music there.
lol wtf

It's a fair point. I suppose I should add SoR and TMA on now that I'm finally actively working on them again (Previously I was sort of ignoring them in favour of MG).

I know about the moddb.

I just can't be arsed uploading anything to a site I have never even visited.

Well, as Webmaster for the SWC, I feel i can accurately ortray my thoughts. Yes, it'd be great to have your projects listed there, but as i found while working with AHTW, i spend enough time on a website, that it takes time from the campaign. If i were to also list it there, i would feel obligated to update every so often. Even if that is only once a week, it is still detracting to time i could use to get a critical part of a mission done, or finish testing and move on. I feel that it is usefull for MOD's to have a website, and if you don't get hosting, a place like modDB is great, but too many things to maintain isn't. So I'd opt for , 'Depends on circumstances.' instead of Yes or No.

Maintaining a mod database entry is simple. Add some screenshots and post some news and check the number of visitors.

TI looks like to be very promising in my opinion, by the way.

I uploaded NTEOP there (Topace, could use those comments, heh ;)). Definately got me some more exposure than I would have here (no offense to HLP).

TopAce, one thing I have learned in my years as project leader here is that if you want people to do something, a whisper is far more effective than a megaphone. ;)

Why is that I have 11 people agree with me and no mods registered at the database?
