... that mac port of fs2? I've begun thinking about getting myself a mac, so it'd be nice to know what you know if you know something.

FS2_Open should run on MacOS X IIRC (well maybe not under that name). Taylor is the person to ask though.
Karajorma's Freespace FAQ. It's almost like asking me yourself.

Personal anecdotes (especially about "converting" when the people being converted probably had no technical background) are a dime a dozen.
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

I once heard a story about a middle-aged woman telling her family "Well, Microsoft owns Apple… so I’m sure it has to work." in a Mac store.

oh, trust me, I've got some experience with PC's. about 13 years, at least. I figured I'd try something new for a change.

plus, I heard tv-out works bettar, which would be great seeing as how I have to use a third-party application to get my nvidia card to actually support the tv-out it was said to ship with...

plus, they run unix now, and I seem to get along quite well with that too.

Used to be a Mac user but switched.  I still think that Mac is a great platform, though. :nervous:

Anyway this might help:
