Yearrrgh!! Ive been infected by some infernal virus called PE_JEEFO.A and no matter what program I use, its stuck there and wont get cleaned. Trendmicro's System Cleaner and the housecall scanner cant get rid of it, but I dont exactly have norton (the full version anyway - im downloading the trial version now) so that aint much of an option.

Anyone know how to get rid of the thing? Please do tell if you know!!

It will tell you exactly what you have, and how to remove it.

well, the virus has totally screwed up my system. Fortunately, I had a totally fresh install of win2k on my second HDD, so i'm formatting the old install and getting rid of it completely. It was about time i did some house cleaning anyway......

No need actually...the stuff that was infected was deleted, the rest was in the root directory, which I managed to fix by switching from one Windows install to the other. But I really screwed up the registry on the other one......fortunately, I only have windows on that partition, so little data lost

(my FS2 missions are still safe!!!)
