to be perfectly honest, people did make way too much out of it. I mean, if that happened in Europe, people wouldn't even care. Now I doubt its some governmet consipracy, but there was an over-reaction.

but then again, the superbowl is the one time where whole familys sit down and watch TV for hours on end.  restaurants are quiet (sports bars are packed), movie theaters are dead, and everyone in America (for the most part.  i didn't.  me and a few friends went and saw a movie) is watching the game... particularly the half-time show.  and it was unappropriate for that event

Actually, I laughed at the US when it happened. On the news there were some hilarious interviews with some American citizens;

"It's outragous! We can't tolerate such behaviour!"

Everyone at my house collectively went: "It's a damned boob! You'd die if you knew what they put on public channels here..."

They blew it up so much it looked like it was about to become the US version of the Jihad
