Pretty nice :)

plus 1 human acctually kicked alien, i mean wtf?! how can it be? he is 3 meter tall(in the movier though he is shorter than a human),he is much stronger + quicker, and the guy kicked him and killed him.

Admittedly, the lack of acid effect (and color) was a bit cheesy. Keep in mind, this isn't professional work, done by a team of experts. Its 2 or 3 guys (not including voice actors), working on their spare time. Theres going to be errors. As for the Karate kick, dont really matter how strong and quick you are, if you get hit with a spinning kick like that, your probably gonna go flying. It didn't necessarily kill im, anyway, just stunned. The guy pumped it full of pistol round when it hit the ground, too. Aliens arent even that big, just 7 feet or so standing up, IIRC.

I expect the preds will get more screentime in part 2. The clips of their ship flying across the jungle were pretty sweet, though. :)

The animation work is pretty good considering. Some of the hallway scenes made me think 'Doom 3' though ;)

I suppose my main gripe was the fact that the aliens moved like a granny on a zimmer frame, but then animating that kind of motion is extremely difficult :(

All in all, I thought it was an excellent piece of home grown work :)

exactly the whole movie i was like "dam this reminds me of doom3 graphic+effects".

true the guy stunned him, but what the hell? im sorry but WTF?
HOW HOW HOW CAN IT BE? drone nature is to kill human in melee, no way a human can beat an alien in a kick.

That's not entirely true. They will do what they have to in order to remove a threat, but will avoid killing you if they can. They need you to be a host for more drones.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Well, according to Alien 3, a pretty muscly bloke can physically hold back a drone once it's lost it's momentum, even for a short period of time, so I would suspect the drones rely far more on speed at bringing those razor sharp weapons to bare than on 'Steamrolling' their oppoent, it's not as if they actually have 'that' much more mass than a well built human. A sharp enough blow to the head might be enough to stun the creature and send it staggering. He then proceeds to finish it off with a pistol :)

Remember that the Alien in Alien 3 was not the Alien we saw in this movie and in the other Alien films. The Alien 3 creature was 'hosted' by a dog.

If I used the 'to host' verb incorrectly, please do not put this into a siggy. Thanks :)

You can kick a drone, the question is if it will die or faint. :D
