.MOV to .MPEG converter needed! Help!
Hey y'all. I took some short video clips with my digital camera this weekend and I'm looking to convert them from .mov format to .mpeg format so that I can edit them properly. Does anybody know a good program that can do this and where I can download it?

Thanks in advance!
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".

Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

.MOV to .MPEG converter needed! Help!
My digital camera just died :(

The back panel had stopped responding, so I popped it open and there's a lovely scorch mark where the panel ribbon connects to the main board, and some nice melted cable glued to the board. Bye bye camera :(

.MOV to .MPEG converter needed! Help!
ha ha  no, really :p, ok heres some help, of course I thought we had more people familiar with this sort of stuff... :blah: to start heres a site worth looking at, Video Help, go to the convert section. Of course you might not find anything, and since I despise encoding because of its time-consuming attitude  I still use it so I'll help :D.

A free converter is TMPGEnc, you'll also require a .mov Plugin (tip: read the replies) which you can also go to it's official site, still having trouble catch me on ICQ 208-911-867.

Oh btw looking for an easier way out, buy QuickTime, because right now the above is the simplest way I've found without spending cash.
