anyone care to do some missions for nukemod r3?
im getting real close to releasing a new version of nukemod pretty soon here, but id like a few missions or a short campaign. i dont really want to release it with my pathetic little test mission "scannin' crates". i got upwords of 17 ships including a bunch of pirate vessels. bunch of cool weapons too. anyone intrested? another thing most of the stuff in r3 will be reworked used in ferrium so im kinda hoping i can use it as a promotional tool for the ferrium project.

ok sounds good. my mod is about 17 megs zipped. i need to go through the tables to set up proper naming conventiopns and fix bugs in a couple of my weapons. also i need to know your file transfer abilities (icq, p2p, ftp, ect...).

some p2p apps (gnucleus for example) allow you enter an ipn address, if you have one that suports it, i could kick gnucleus into ultrapeer/hub mode and you could download it through any gnutella compliant p2p program.

as for msn messanger, no, ive screwed with windows to the point where it wont let me install it (i wouldnt install it anyway).

there is always netmeeting, it comes with windows (actually one of the few windows apps i still like) and has file transfer. all id have to do is host a meeting and you punch up my ip.

go to your advanced tab in the add node section punch in 66.223.168.236 as the address and 6346 as the port, then do a search for nukemod.

it would seem i didnt check those test missions i gave you, i think fred srewed em up when i updated em with the new ship names. you may be able to get some of them to work if you open the ship tbm file cut my ships out (ommiting the section tags) and pasting them in a standard volition issue freespace table file.

i intend to release the mod with tbms so that it can take advantage of lightys stuff, in theory any missions designed using tbm files should work fully with them, its when you change from tbl to tbm that problems occure.

Oy, yeah, I noticed. The Wannabe Mission froze FS2, and then the rest gave me kernel32 errors. :p But that's okay, I've been making some short missions to see what the ships are like. Just a few issues so far.

FRED yells at me about the Valhalla and Ragnarok, but they still work. Something about not linking subsystems.

The Rumrunner shows up as a Uly in missions. It shows up works in my "stable" Fred, but not in the very latest Fred.

And last, there's some missing ani. When trying to load a mission FS2 will complain about missing missileselect04.ani I think (It was missile-something).

Anyway, other than that everything's pretty good. :)

yea my capships models are full of bugs, which probibly wont get removed untill release 5 (around the time i add full dibrits and lod support).

i dont get that missing ani message, because it doesnt follow my naming convention.

i know i broke something when i applied the new naming convention, because it used to work fine. allot of bugs could be associated with my recent switch over to tbm files. i guess fred is still not fully set up to support them yet. the shp.tbm seems to be the only one giving problems, the other two work fine. im gonna consider releasing with a ships.tbl file, because it doesnt really mess with all the new effects and it allows me to give the original fs2 fighters access to my new weapons.
