ok first problem is..
im running Windows 2000, and im trying to install FreeSpace2 from the original CD, double clicking setup.exe, does nothing it wont start seems like it immediatly quits.
also the auto-run doesnt work.. last time i tried installing it was on Windows98..
ive tried making a shortcut and using Windows98 compat. but still no go.. anyone ever had this happen to him ?

second problem
in the end i had to get the HotU download and used the files from original CD's to sort of make it a full FS2.. now after installing SCP and all the other addons.
this is what happens.. i play 1 mission then after i succeded i continue to the next one, after briefing i click the button to start and then crash, no window no nothing streight to desktop.
now i have to restart FS2 every time i want to play a mission.. any ideas ?

The second problem is probably you missing a file or two that you need. not sure about the first though.

Since you've got the HotU version I don't think the first "problem" needs a solution

First one. Couldn't find the thread - sorry....

Second problem is probably an error with one of the vp files. You might have a missing/corrupted campaign or model file.
