You know, campaigns obviously made by total n00bs.

I remember when I played Second Great War Part Two, which took place one year after Capellan-incident.

Somehow the GTVA magically gets ten collussuses (eseses), a small transport manages to capture a Sathanas juggernaut (with zero casulties), and figure out how to operate it, and people are actually killed by IFF-changes :doubt:

Oh yeah, and a Hecate has BFReds. Worse yet, they actually call them "BFReds" in game. :blah:

STUPID!

But fun to play, and fun to rack up kills.

What are your views on B-campaigns? Ever played one? What did you think?

I've played a few, didn't like any of them... Like there was one with the NeoGTVA colosus and the NeoGTVA sathanas, and somehow a (demon?) shivans stop functioning because you destroy a few comm nodes, and then there's a huge BoE mission with 3 saths, and 2 colossuses... It was the biggest waste of my time... Don't remember the name... Sounds similar to the great war part 2... I'll have to try that...

Yeah, Second Great War Part Two is a big waste of time.

But it's fun! Try playing it. That campaign is almost as funny as Deus Ex Machina. Only the best part is, SGW: P2 doesn't do it on purpose.

Any others?

Your posting a "pet peeve"

peeve informal >verb annoy; irritate. >noun a cause of annoyance.

Worst campaign I ever played was simply called "SOC Campaign". Twas written by a non english speaker, which I'll admit wasn't his fault, but the first mission was a capship scrap BoE, which was. Didn't get past mission 3 IIRC.

Hehehe! I remember that one!
I played almost all of the campaigns in the Volition Archives and almost all of them were what you called 'b-campaigns', but I still found them fun, in one way or another :)

Anyone ever played the Invasion campaign? I think it's on Volition archives.

True meaning of a B-Campaign. RIGHT THERE.

Funny, though.

Battle of Endor syndrome? *shudders along with CPU

I hate it when people don't understand Fs2's engine, and try to cram twenty juggernauts (and all their cousins), five Orions, two hecates, and two hundred Hercs all on one map.

I also hate it when people don't use Orion's or any older ships at all. An Orion can take down a hecate easily.

Another question: how do you guys define a b-campaign, besides the obvious?

'if it isn't as good as Blackwater Operations, no matter how much he worked on it, or how good his intentions were, I'm gonna complain 'cause it's stupid."

Well, not really, but you gotta give the n00bs SOME credit for actually releasing the damn things...

Hey, I liked the Great War 2: Part 2 and the SOC campaign! :p  I don't understand why people are so against this "Battle of Endor" syndrome; of course you can't make a whole campaign out of it, but a mission or two like that is really fun to play in.  Even if you end up watching the events unfold more than participating in them, it's still a fun diversion.  I remember one part during GW2:P2 when a captured Sathanas, several Mjolnirs, and a Hecate and Hatshepsut with BFReds were all targeting the same Shivan ship at the same time.  That is the true definition of "owned."  True, the campaign was kind of cheesy and had a massive amount of huge capships/battles, but it was admittedly fun to play through.  Not every mission has to focus on "Alpha 1, the demigod," you know :p.

I'm not insulting anybody. I asked for other people's oppinions on B-Campaigns. I even said they were fun to play. My first campaign may very well be a B-Campaign.

Sorry if I came off wrong. :)

EDIT: "Of Lokis and n00bs" is a delibarate B-Campaign, parody...thing. So there.

Nyah! Away with you, vile fiend!

*Dances on your grave, then goes off to play more Fs2 (with SCP)
