A good chunk of them are in the neck region, and about 2/3 of them are normal Terran Turrets, so the type of turret has as much bearing on a fight as the number.
But don't blame me, I had only asked Fulgrymm for 45.

BTW wasn't the Heptu already released? If not how the hell did MG get our hands on it
Quite possibly. I gave it to Setekh for a render at one point, and I think I gave it to you or some other peoples. I probably don't remember it since if/when I did it was quite a while ago, and I was probably heavily ensconced in Nodewars II at the time.
Go me.

MindGames could probably use an upgunned Aten too. With more than 30 years to play around with them you'd think the vasudans could come up with some improvement
I wholeheartedly agree. Especially since the GTVA would need to still use them out of necessity, after their extreme fleet depletion at Capella.
Here's the tech description I plan to use for it in HFH:
The GVC Aten has been a substandard cruiser for years, and was so even before the Great War. On top of that, the upgrades of the 50s and 60s did little to improve its effectiveness in combat. However, it was forced back into full service due to the shortage of warships that ensued following the destruction of Capella. As such, the Aten was in dire need of a major overhaul.
Using a new, more compact reactor, the Aten was given more room for weaponry and hull plating, while retaining its previous top speed and maneuverability. Most importantly, though, was the addition of four turrets to the design, two of which carry anti-capital ship beams. The refurbished Aten is expected to remain in GTVA service at least until 2386.
Yarr.
