Yeah, saw it on the news.

The cowadly f***'s strike again.

First time an attack has actually been directed towards Australia though.
Even though so far no Aussie's have been confirmed dead it does stick to the back of your throat...

Its almost a condolence to know that the mongrels that are part of this crap are all going to burn in the firey pits of hell for all eternity. :)

Still not enough for the families involved though...

11 dead thus far, mostly indonesian civilians..

from what i can tell from the images, there would've been a fair amount of injuries due to flying glass, the building itself seems to be largely intact in terms of structure... that said, it could've been a helluva lot worse than it is now.. :blah:

yeah, But it could of been a hell of a lot better if there wasn't this kind of crap happening in the world too... =|

an0n I've come to dislike all media even though Australia's media isn't as bullcrapish as some other countries *cough* Britain *cough*, but I always look on things with a suspicion these days. I'm going paranoid...

I feel pretty passionate about this kinda stuff so I get carried away.
But meh...

Ex-****ing-cuse me?

The BBC is the only 'big player' news organization in the world that'll openly call the government a bunch of ****s.

They're quite possibly the most non-biased news organization in the world.

I'm assuming that Grug was including the tabloid press which drag Britain down to a pretty low score.

But as An0n said the BBC is probably the most objective news source I've seen.

Pfff.

Tabloids don't count. Every country has stupid tabloids.

And I'll note that the News Of The World is like 100+ years old and has some of the best investigative reporters in the world.

And papers like the Independant, Times and Observer beat the living **** outta all the 'upper class', partisan tripe you get in America.

Yeah, the tabloid press does worry me that people are actually out there that give a crap about all that dribble.

Realistically, I havn't seen much BBC at all. It would be pretty stupid after all if we got Britains news :p.
So I can't really comment on that, unless I watch a few days worth of BBC news, which quite frankly I couldn't be bothered with :p.

But I still find it highly doubtfull that they are completely un-biased.
From the sounds of it they are, but against the government.

In Aus, generally speaking the attitude is 'Could of been worse' (as Turnsky was so kind to demonstrate :) ). So when clips come from overseas media of things being blown out of proportion, I kinda think 'geez get over it'.

But thats just your basic cultural differences. I was initially just making a joke, but there you go. I've explained a half truth. :)

- Grug

Edit: I think Britain takes the cake for having some of the most dribbling tabloid stuff ever. For the tabloids to survive, someone has to be buying and reading them... Don't they?

Nope. When they tories were in power they complained about the BBC being out to get them. Now Labour are in power they complain that the BBC is out to get them. The simple fact is that since both governments were involved in all kinds of dodgy deals it mearly seems like the BBC are out to get them when the BBC reports the truth.

Take a look at the BBC's coverage of the Hutton Report to see how unbiased they really are. Even though the report was a government whitewash and everyone in the country knew it the BBC were still objective even though the report blamed everything that happened in the Kelly affair on the BBC.

Brickies.

Also, the reason the BBC hates the government is because of the Hutton Report. The argument basically went like this:

<Gillian> Dude, Blair is talking outta his ass.
<Iraq> Damn ****ing straight he is.
<Blair> You lying mother****er!
** DrKelly quits (Quit: Connection reset by peer)
* ChanServ sets mode +o Hutton
<@Hutton> Okay, *****es, what the ****'s going on.
* Hutton reads the logs
<@Hutton> Blair, check your PM's
<Gillian> Oh, goody. Blair's man-whore is here.
** Hutton sets mode +m [#media]
->Gillian<- Hutton, dude: Gimme voice!
<@Hutton> No.
<Blair> Sock it to 'em, Hutty.
<@Hutton> Gillian's a ****ing liar.
<@Hutton> Blair didn't do **** wrong.
<BBC> This is bull****. I call whitewash!
<@Hutton> Oh no you ****ing don't.
<BBC> Fine. We'll sack Greg and Gillian.
<@Hutton> Good. I'll do it.
** Gillian was kicked by Hutton ("Domino, mother****er!")
** GregDyke was kicked by Hutton ("Don't mess with my *****es!")
<BBC> Blair, you're such a ****ing dick.
<Blair> Hahaha. I was right. PHEAR ME, *****ES!!!

lol. Who's national pride?
I didn't know I was insulting anyone :o

lol an0n though.

The main point I was trying to make, was that terrorists are cowards and that they are all going to hell.
Why not expand that to all evil do'er's in the world?

Terrorism comes from when you give stupid people grown up toys, and fanatical beliefs.
They need a global education system to demonstrate that if you don't get your way, the answer is not to destroy things others have.

But alas, hence is human nature. It's almost a proof that we ARE 'mortal men doomed to die'...

Mother ****ers. Doesn;t look like an Aussies were killed, though they got plenty of their own countrymen. That said, this was a direct attack on us, unlike Bali, which was just targetting westerners generally. I swear, if they let these ****ers off on "religious grounds"...

Indonesia is such a mess right now. I miss the Dutch. They were kinda a moderating influence, you know?

Replace the word "fanatical beliefs" with "power" and you've just descirbed governments.

Seriously, am I the only one wondering what's going on with this? Has anyone claimed responsibility yet?

anon: Tres bien. ever considering becoming a political pundit? Essentially, it amounts to being payed to be a full-time asshole, slagging off other asshole and the government.
