This is more of a personal thing than anything else, but times new roman drives me nuts when used on a web page. I think it'd look slightly niftier if your top navbar thing used Arial or some other sans serif.

Actually I think sans-serif is generally supposed to be easier to read on screen media. On print supposedly serif fonts are easier to read.

times new roman is only used on the ames lab logo - and copyright requires that
the rest of it is default-font

I kind of liked the little blue outline on the old one, but yours looks an order of magnatude better in general
