I've been listening to FS1 music, and have decided that if there is one thing that FS1 excells at (other than cut-scenes), the it is the music. For example, the Mainhall music.

Best soundtrack ever.

FS1 music is far better, agreed.

Im gonna hafta go through and listen to it, cuz i always play through the game with no music

The Fs2 Leviticus track is actually my favorite...above any Fs1 track. But yeah, in general, Fs1 music is better.

Yet another reason to download the FS1 Port! ;)

There are very few FS2 tracks that are rememberable. I like the first mainhall track and the last two brifing tracks(04 and 05) most of the ingame music sounds like those new age trash, though.

So yeah FS1 music is worlds better(as almost every other aspect of FS1:p )

FS1 main hall. Fs2 Cinema... FS1's briefing music...

oh the goodies...

If only I had FS1 installed. (Don't tell me port. It's not nearly as good.)

Never managed to get the music to work with the port- need a new music.tbl I think, I have all the music files.  Every link I've ever found (yes I used search) to a FSport music.tbl that will use the old music is a broken link.  Anyone got a good one around,, I'd love to play it with the real music.

edit:  the music from "field of battle" is my favorite...

only problem with FS1 + FS2 music is that it's soooo short---30 or 40 seconds long mostly.

The mistake, imo, with FS2 was adding that Operatic Voice to things, I'm fine with the choir in the end sequence of FS2 (which is one of my favourite FS2 tracks), the problem is with that Opera voice is it sounds like it's been ripped out of a £12.99 samples pack :(

Yeah numbers is good. I actually prefer fs2 music. That's not to say I dislike the originals.
