in an effort to keep the forum relatively clean, i've decided to convert two threads i was going to make, into one:

Thread 1
You know how when you insert a disk, etc. on XP it pops up that thing saying "What do you want to do:", and then it has "Burn a CD with Nero", "Open this folder", etc...   well every time i plug my digital camera in, the same thing pops up... well, used to.  and i always used to click a different thing.  well my friend was over, and i hooked it up, and he clicked "Open the folder", but clicked "Never ask me this again"... so from now on it always opens the folder :-/  he said it's instinctive, because he always does that on his machine at home.  well i don't want that, so now every time i plug my damn camera in, it pops open the "removable disk" folder...  how do i get it back to asking me what i want to do each time.  one of you XP gurus must know :)

Thread 2
Look at this bastard:

That ***** was waiting for me last night after i finished playing Doom 3 (very late at night)... i turn around and turn on the light, and it's waiting there for me on my sink at the entrance to my bathroom.

Note the picture you see is the after-effect... it's after i smited the focker with my katana. ;)

hey, it was the first thing i thought to grab.  :nervous:... i was going to go for my paintball gun, but that leaves too much of a mess.

I dont think there is something in this world that I hate as much as roaches. Living in Houston we get these little buddies (tree roaches I think is their proper name) all the friking time because here its their ideal climate. Everytime I discover roach in my house its as good as dead. A big thick magazine usually does the trick.

actually when i was living in phoenix i was facinated by the mating habbits of large sewer roaches. theyd connect themselves for hours doing who knows what and you could fling em across the room with a yard stick and they still wouldnt let go. now thats love :D
I can no longer sit back and allow communist infiltration, communist indoctrination, communist subversion, and the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

We have ones with wings out here in West Texas, granted they dont fly for long, but long enough to land on your shoulder. I hate them

*shudder*

Fortunately, we don't really have much of a roach problem around here. We do, however, have problems with spiders.

Big ****ing Spiders.

Camel spiders. They aren't just big, either. They're mean as hell. You try to chase 'em away, they'll do a 360 degree turn and chase you right back.

oooh yeah, there's a few people that live in Texas... you all know what it's like :D

those things are so big they can carry you away.  you're right, they're not called cockroaches, cockroaches are the small ones.  the big ones are tree roaches... and in the summer time they find a way into the house to get out of the heat outside, and in the winter time they come in to get out of the cold... so year round (particularly in summer) they're here.

every time we find one (at least once a week), i'm always on my toes for the next day or so, looking into a shoe before i put it on, etc.

i hate them.  with a passion.

Everytime I find one somewhere (my room, the pantry, the closet etc) I see to it that after It has been disposed of that the pest guy is on his way out here soon.  Also, until then you can use RAID. That stuff works great because it has a range of like 15 feet and works instantly with a direct hit.

not on these.  you hit them, and then they run away.

i think the best thing to do is this... take a broom, and a piece of cardboard, and RAID

spray the roach, and RIGHT AWAY put the broom on it (pressing it down) and slide it onto the cardboard

then drop it in the toilet...  always put some toilet paper over it before you flush, just in case it gets a burst of energy and decides its going to try to swim back up (happened a few times.  once when i was sitting on the toilet... but that's another story)

Spiders scare me. They have too many legs...and they move too fast. You'd think with all those legs they'd move slower...like centipedes...but nooooooo.

Luckily, my three cats tend to kill all the spiders in my house. But still...frickin wolf spiders scare the crap out of me...:shaking:

Wasps are worse than any other insect on Earth.

They'll ****ing attack you and they're way too fast to engage in close quarters combat.

Fortunately, my dog likes eating them. So as soon as she hears one, she darts up and attacks it.

sure you can beats wasps at short range you just need a handy raquet zapper like i have. i swore one just came buzzing at me i hit the button and thwaked it. the first shock only stunned it so i trapped him on the carpet and didn't let go of the button till i saw a plume of smoke rise. when i lifted the zapper up not only was it dead but it was a golden brown
