I never played it.  I always made fun of the people that did, it seemed like such a stupid game, but my friend just moved, and found his "Magic:  The Gathering" card collection.  he wants me to sell them, and he said i could keep half of what they make...

there's quite a few.  i want to know, how do i tell which of them are worth something (if anything)?

Also, selling them on Ebay, how much do you think they'd be worth?

A few things to do;

- Check for foils (shiny cards). they are usually worth a few bucks.
- Check for rares. These are the ones with a golden icon just below the lower right corner of the picture. (Common cards have black icons)
- Check for uncommons. These are the ones with a silver icon instead of a black or gold one.

These are usually the ones that are worth more then a few pennies. However, some common cards are in high demand are still worth a bit of money. You'll have to check that on sites where they sell and buy M:tG cards on demand (google for these but be sure you have a reliable one).

Magic is great fun, but if you can give me a card list, I'd know a lot more then just some fuzzy pictures.

Mind, if the cards are damaged, you might be a bit borked, but as T said, look for rares. And special lands, too.

I haven't played Magic but I love watching Yu-gi-oh! on Sky One on a Saturday morning.

Here's an example of why I watch it. I'm more or less quoting from the show here "I draw my next card, Thunder Dragon. But! I choose to discard my card in order to use it's special ability. As a result. I draw.... TWO THUNDER DRAGONS!".

Now if you happen to be me, that's funny as hell!

Saturday morning?  You've probably never experienced it, you're probably drunk from the night before

Saturday morning is that period of time just after you get in from friday night, but just before you go to sleep. It looks a lot like 08:00 to me but that might just be the beer.
