Welcome AdamNation and Thunderbird as SCP programmers!
Say hello to them. I have known tbird for years, he co-admins Planet Descent, and is a long time FS fan.

Adam is new to me, but his resume is impressive and he seems to know how to code.

So, say "Hi, everybody!"

This is really excellent news. With Ferrium and RL gradually thinning the ranks of the existing coders, new ones are needed to maintain the pace and quality of FSOs development. Thanks to both of you new guys for offering up your time and skills to make that happen.

Now, what everyone want's to know is: What will you guys be working on?

Well, dunno about Adam, but i can lay odds on Tbird not ;)

Each man makes his own choice though.

We really do need some fresh blood, dedicated to the project, so, I for one am glad to have them aboard.

Might invigorate the team to have some new faces :)

Now, that's what I call good news. Hopefully this reinforcement to your
team will help improving the code even more, and maybe even get
some of WC-Saga's request done ;7

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  I look forward to working with this community.

A little background I guess.

I've been following the source code project since it started.  I loved FS2.  Best Space-Action-game-ever, period.

I got my undergraduate degree in computer science.  I'm in graduate school, but I switched fields and I'm working on a master's in systematic theology.  Hopefully my course load won't interfere to much with my work here.

I did a lot of work in undergraduate with graphics and OpenGL, hopefully once I get familiar enough with the code, I can start working on that.

btw, to supplicate anybodies fears.  I offered to join this project because I loved Freespace 2.  What Ferrium is doing is good, but I'm here because I love this game so much.

It an honor to serve,
AdamNation
