Question about Sol, A History (perhaps Inferno as well)
Great mod so far, I like it a lot.

I'm on the last mission for the 2340 portion of the module and I've ran into a problem.  When I play the mission the game for some strange reason appears to drop out and exits the program.  I'm not sure why it's like that but it didn't give me any error or such.

I had an experience like this when I was playing Inferno as well (Version 1).  It happened occasionally for a few particular missions but I don't recall which ones.

Right now I'm using the FS Open 3.6 with Launcher 5.0.  The specs on my computer are a 1 GHz Duron with 512MB RAM and a GeForce MX440.  If anyone can help me diagnose this problem that would be great!

And hi I'm new!

It's slightly in the wrong place, but that isn't a problem.  What you could easily be running in to is the horrendous memory leak of 3.6.  It is the last "official" stable build, but if you're daring I've had good luck with Taylor's latest public build.  I've also got some crash issues still, but I'm thinking more and more that it's a setup problem rather than something with the build.  Go to the SCP forum, latest builds, and download the one labled with a date.  It'll reset your pilot so back that up, and you'll lose mission progress, but it's worth it for the advantages I think.

To follow up for Night Hammer,
Gunnery Control, target TAD.  Fire!

Welcome to HLP.  Exits are to the sides and rear.  Under your seat you'll find a flamethrower; it's there for emergencies but we're out of ammunition for the things.  There are combat pulse rifles and heavier munitions in the storage lockers in the front, accessable by the admins only.  Beware of Shivans in the airducts (except for Carl, he responds well to bribes of food), the faulty gravity plating in Hanger 5, and any references to The Plan™ and you'll be fine.

It's not much of an excuse for a website, but my stuff can be found here

YES! New member!

Gunnery control, lock up the wickets, wax the fobber, arm the ketchup, and make me a deepdish single. Yee-ha! FIRE ALL GUNS!

:welcome:

Beware of Tabbies in the bushes, if you smell petrol, it tis probably just the old Apollo stuck in the furnace. If you smell fire, tis just some poor sap getting the crap flamed out of him. Feel welcome to try out the motion sensor-equiped-minibar...you'll be charged three hundred dollars every time you get within ten feet of it.

The Library was infested with Shivans back in '99, the roof leaks, the floor creaks, the garden is infested with man-eating garden snails, the cats have taken the observatory...so, that explains the assault rifle under your chair.

But don't think about using it. We ran out of ammo back in '01. Neverless, you'll never feel more welcome anywhere else. Yes, our staff is availble 24/7 to tend to your every need. But avoid the Shivans in the air ducts.

Enjoy your stay, but don't even think about leaving. You won't be able to. Freespace will not let you leave.

P.S.

My cats wrote this for me awhile back, and i've used it as my welcome thingy ever since. Blame them :p
