Out of curiosity, I know there's a limit on the number of Sexps (because I've hit it), and I know there's a limit on the number of ships (because I've hit it), my question is, is there a limit to the number of messages????

Well, in the mission I'm making right now I might find out. But hopefully not.

Yes.  I hit it on the first mission of Deus Ex Machina, so I had to move some messages to the next mission.

EDIT: Checked the FSO code.  It's 300 in retail FS2, 500 since 6/15/2004.
