Mikhail about a yr or 2 ago was making me a model based on concept designs for a ship i created a couple yrs back. he never finished the model and its sitting in my lil ol hard drive collecting dust.

i would offer it up for anyone to use since my campaign ideas and mod dreams never bore fruit (no one to work with on my idea... friends came and went but with good reason, NO HARD FEELINGS HONEST!), but i would still hope to see it completed some day. i got the textures and all but it be nice to see it freespace usable.

maybe when i get out of MMP in school i can learn c++ and modeling so i can contribute to the community more than just as a texture artist....

BTW Ship Specs:

3.2 KM L
1KM total width at widest point
about 3 km high in highest point.
destroyer class
sleek
agile
and deadly.

3km tall?  I'd take a look at it as something to fiddle with, but the odds of finishing it are about as good as for Mikhael to do it.  Got any screens?

well its that high at its highest point (from the bottom stem to the bridge deck part of the model). its a lightwave model, i have screens and the model itself, however i cant post the pics here lol...

hey aldo, ITS A WIP!

but anyway, it is 3.2 KM LONG.... it may not look like it there doe to scale, but jeez it was the specs. if mikhail only made its brushes 4feet in length @ first thats on him....

but anyway, the design had called for the fin part to be a bit longer than that...(mind the 3.km hieght thingy, that was a misprint, it was meant to say about 1km...) that was its... err... LOD 3! its lowest poly lookin model....

the ship was to be a hybrid but it ended up going to be a PURE terran based design (story plot-may end up becoming terran/shivan hybrid). i just had the idea to make a corvette style and speed and ability with the size and power of a destroyer.

Interesting.  Looks like a cross between Macross and the Raynor.  I'm not sure what to think of the feet, but the design certainly has promise.

Cross between a Deimos and a Sobek, which isn't a bad thing, IMO.

If you do make it, release it please, because I could retexture and get that Terran/Vasudan hybrid I've been looking for...

Which is what a Battlecruiser or Battleship is. It would be nice to have one of those beside the Rainor, though the later should be given some nastier weapons to fit the Battleship theme.

Why are you getting all mad about?? You´re the one who advertized a model 3 km high! It´s only normal that people were expecting to see such a model...

I'm say we dump the battle-thing or war-that, that thing is obviously made to kill lots of stuff, I say is a Super-Destroyer.  Of course that implies that it is one of a kind or has some kind of special ability.

Raynor = destroyer

Destroyer = battleship, by the descriptions people tend to assign to them.

Therefore, Raynor = battleship.

Actually it's designated Destoyer (GTD Raynor), so I don't know where you're getting that it's anything otherwise.

And that smily is :hopping: mad  Cracks me up every time though.

BTW, i dont know where, but somebody called the raynor a battleship... my veiw puts destroyer, battleship, and battlecruiser as 3 VERY different designations
