Imagine a Nascar driver on an F1 track... I can see issues with right turns...

Nascar does do road races...Watkins Glen and Sears Point

True, NASSCAR could stand to use their turn signals once in awhile to set a good example.  Even if they only turn one way all the time.

After all, if they don't turn that one way all the time...well, erm *gulp*

NASCAR is the epitome of all that is Redneck in the world.  Believe me, I live in the Mecca for NASCAR fans.  No good comes out of those races, unless by good you mean throwing chicken bones.

That's only to stop the drivers from getting carpal tunnel syndrome from constant left turns. NASCAR and Indycar are the only two motorsports that actually bore me, and I love motorsports. Yes, in that way ;)

Villeneuve is over rated and overconfident in my opinion, the world championship he won was due to a lack of strong competition more than anything. We'll see how he fares.

I'm really excited about Jensen Button though, personally I wouldn't have gone back to Williams after the way he was dropped but I think Frank Williams is a very shrewd guy, it appears to me he let him go to give him some more race experience and has been waiting to pick him up when he starts to make waves. The fact that he's close to winning races in a bloody BAR astounds me it really does and I think next season is going to be exciting. Anything that gets rid of the absolute boredom of the Schumacher/Ferrari dominance is fine by me.

Have to agree about Button  His career finally seems to be on course again.  I reckon he will do well at either team, he has got talent and a cool head, so fingers crossed for an end to the Schumacher domination....

I quite like Jaques though, he's got guts, and he is the only other World Champion racing right now, so you have to reckon he'll score a good few points next year.

The real danger after Schumacher is Barrichello imo, he must be desperate to be Champion by now, and with the fastest car around, he will be very strong.....

Oh - It looks like there's no help coming from the govt for the Brtish GP:

Who's Villeneuve racing with? I haven't really kept up with F1 for a while other than what I read in the papers occasionally, I was kinda left in the wilderness when Damon Hill retired, I find Coulthard a really boring driver, Irvine really just got on my tits, not sure why.

I gotta admit I like Barichello and I like his racing style, he's an exciting driver and I hope he does well. Dunno about Villeneuve, I like him as a guy but I don't rate him too highly as a driver.

As for the news article, what annoys me more is the lack of people with money in the sport not willing to cough up, maybe if the drivers care enough about the track they could contribute some of the vast amounts they earn to help keep it, wishful thinking I think though.

Renault for the last two races of the season, then he has a 2 year contract with Sauber.  Now Sauber have just started to come good lately (remember then have Ferrari engine/gearboxes) so maybe JV will shine....
