If it's not a new race and it doesn't belong to any of the existing races(Terran, Vasudan, Shivan, or Ancient), then it doesn't exist.  

BTW, it looks like a node-hopper, a flying sensor pod with crew of 3 that will be used in conjunction with the Knossos project to study the inside of the Sol node and make sure the Knossos is working correctly.

Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.

Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.
