Most of you vets remember me, well I've been back for 3 months now, and I've been working on a campaign for FS2. The storyline basically goes as:

   3 years have passed since we sealed of Capella. Most of the allied fleet has been destroyed, and resources to rebuild our ships have been drastically low, the GTVA Security Council and General Assemblies have been arguing over how the little resources should be spent.

   The Vasudans have different ideas than the Terrans. BETAC states that secession from the GTVA is illegal, however since the Senate is a majority of Vasudans they left. And so the GTA and the RVA (Reformed Vasudan Alliance) wage war to see who will get the resources.

   You are a pilot stationed on the GTD Alamo, a modified version of the Orion. The Alamo's fleet has been put on the front lines. This has been the first time a full-scale war has been going against Terrans and Vasudans in 35 years. Both sides can eventually destroy each other again. Are you ready to face it?

Possibly, they get all the good systems and the Terrans did most of the shivan fighting, so basically the ratio of Vasudan:Terran ships are 30:7

Well considering how many beams an Orion has, and how an Alamo is an Orion with 4 more beams, and the Typhon has breakdowns with beams, the Hatshepsut has less beams than Orions and Hecates I'd say the Terrans have a fighting chance.
