Oh **** off with the usual anti-Microsoft bile... as if Bungie had no choice but to be bought up and were forced at gunpoint to develop it for XBox rather than for PC. They knew full well what a contract with Microsoft would entail, and so are fully responsible for the exclusivity to the console.

:blah: It costs you $300? USD, right? That's like twice as much as it costs here in Aus. :nervous:

  • What is this? I don't even...
I paid $300 CAD for mine with the 1 year unlimited warranty, and that was a year ago. They're selling the things at a loss FFS.

Me like Half-life...me sorta liked Halo 1...me was impressed by the big ass sky cannon you see soon after you crashland on the Halo...although...I did wonder if the cannon blew holes on the other side of the halo...considering it was firing straight up...

Well Halo2 sells 1,5 million copies in one day and console market is far larger (40 billion$ every year)

Well that's the bite of it HIG, the XBox is not appreciably different from a midlevel PC in its construction or component, it can be modded to run linux to pete's sake.  I don't care if they release it on the GatesBox, but the code base is basically the same, how hard would it be to pay a little extra and have a dual-release?  It would save you from losing money on an XBox.

And on consolde gaming:  I've played around on a friend's XBox and PS2.  I prefer my PC.  I realize that's anecdotal and not worth much, but I really prefer PCs for almost every type of game you can imagine.

Not releasing Halo 2 (and Halo) for the PC is pure marketing and nothing else. If halo had been available for the PC when the X-box launched the sales would have probably halved.

The same goes for Halo 2. Only now it's not the X-Box itself that is making the money. Halo 2 for the X-box costs ~£50. For the PC it would be around £35

Given that many gamers have a more powerful PC than an X-Box why would they pay £15 extra for an inferior looking game?

Not that good. Thing is, I'd rather get other things than a new console just to play one game.

Bungie has 60 workers most of them worked Single-player and 4 worked Multi-player code so Dual release would be too hard for them when Xbox versio was most important.

Anyway, for the other people who have trouble detecting irony, MS is still retarded for keeping the PC version away from me either way. They are evil. Get over it.

It's so easy to brand something evil...

They may make inferior products, and market them as best as they can in an effort to make as much money as possible, but that's more Capitalism than being evil. Unless you argue that Capitalism = evil.

Well, capitalism is based on screwing over the next man as much as possible for your own benefit, so unless you see that as a good value...

And I said nothing of thier products being inferior (certainly not Halo), just that their ****ing assholes for not giving me my Halo 2 PC version.
