any programs out there to edit the POF's?.........or someting.....................i got the MOD viewer 32.........and the FSkit with the VP viewer and stuff.................

Go to www.descent-freespace.com. They've got tools and command lines and crap. They've got a model-viewer that doubles as a .POF editor. You can add gun points and turrets.

[/EDIT] Open up the Model Viewer and click on .POF editor.

And to edit Table Files, open them with Notepad or Wordpad. if you want a tutorial, PM me, give me your email, I will give you mine, send you an email, reply to me confirming you got it, and I will walk you through basic table ediing.

Medium table-modding (i don't know how the beams works)
Basic POF editing (though the model-viewer, i know how the change the textures, add subsystems, and stuffs)
Medium FREEDING (i think, at least)

One last request...
i need time and date references to tighten my campaign's storyline...
the date when the NTF rebellion appeared. When it finished.
when does Capella went supernova.
And...in how much time a destroyer travels from one side of a system to the other...and how much time does takes the travel from a system to another...

Look at the Tech Database, I think it says when the NTF Rebellion arose. It doesn't say when Capella went kaput, I think it was 2679. I haven't a clue. As for a destroyer going places: sublight engines or subspace? In sublight, about a month or so to get to another system, in my opinion. In subspace, about an hour. To one side, about 2 weeks. In subspace, 30 minutes. :D I don't know, these are just guesses. :p You wanna voice act for me? PM me if you're interested. Send voice samples at either [email protected] or [email protected] .

hmmm....................i read somewhere that ships couldn't jump directly from one side of a system to the opposite side, in one jump because of the gravitacional sometin'.................that's why the NTF needed rally points or something...
ships need  to make several jumps to travel though a system....i guess that depends on the quantity of planets or somethin'...

Oh, yeah, I forgot...... since the jumps are rather long, they have to make multiple jumps via jump nodes.

no...multiple jumps are needed intra-system...
anyway...multiple jumps inter-systems are impossible...since you would appear in the middle of nothing with to gravitation to use to open a subspace hole....or somethin'

well...I'M READY TO GO...
I'LL TRY OUT MY FREDING SKILL IN THE FRED ACADEMY FIRST TO TEST 'EM...
THEN, IF I'M GOOD ENOUGH, I WILL FINALLY START MY CAMPAIGN...
BTW, it's name will be: HOMEWORLD
(i know there is game called like that, but, that was the most 'suitable' name that crossed my mind)
[each passing day, new ideas for the plot crosses my mind...i think i gonna need more help than i thought]

No, I meant to another system. Damn, I really need to make a homemade FS2 encyclopedia for myself. SIX FACTIONS? Last I checked there was the GTVA, NTF, and the HOL. :confused:
