Annorax, what voice do you wanna do? There's a pilot, a pirate, a destroyer's guy who does all the talking, a Jade Falcon corvette person.

I'll take the destroyer guy. Second choice would be a pilot. :)

The SC Thanatos was in the last mission of FS2 Main Campaign, and was a Rakshasa-class cruiser. It was brutally slaughtered by the GTCv Lemnos, the GVC Ptah-Nu, and the 70th Blue Lions elite squadron.

As for the big disappearing fleet (consisting of 20-ish Fenrises, 9 Reliants, and 3 Orions), that was one of the main plot points of the FS1 campaign "Awakenings". Only one of the Fenrises (the GTC Hornbeck IIRC) made the jump from Antares to Vasuda successfully.

Two of the Orions (GTD Iowa and GTD Moscow) randomly appeared in Vasuda in 2338 (a 10-year delay), with no crew on board, and were subsequently refitted. Nothing is known of the other ships.

Of course, none of that is canon, but I've always been fond of Awakenings. It was the first campaign for FS1 that I really considered "good", besides the main campaign. And it was the first campaign that established the GTD Reliant class as the one preceding the Orion.

So.....all that dissapearing stuff was in a fan-made campaign....not in the Main Freespace Campaign.........

WTF? Reliant class destroyer......never heard of it..

The Reliant was, IIRC, Eishtomo's invention.

Basically, if you look at the introduction of the Typhon, then it become logical it had a predecessor; the Thanatos.  And given that, the Orion must also have been introduced during the war (or the Vasudans would have taken much less time to build the superior Typhon class), so the Orion must have had a predecessor; the Reliant.

Basically they exist to logically maintain a balance of power in the storyline.

I modelled a Reliant for the TVWP, but it could probably do with a bit of work nowadays; it was pre-HTL era stuff.

The Reliant was Dynamo's invention - it was first mentioned in Awakenings.  Eishtmo first proposed the idea of a "pocket Orion" (an Orion predecessor).  I decided that for TVWP's purposes they were one and the same.

Eishtmo's timeline has the Orion existing before the T-V war even started.  Considering that the Typhon first appeared in 2333 (this is canon) I'd rather the Orion be developed later in the war, but that's Eishtmo's decision.

I stand corrected.  I could have sworn Eish said the Reliant was his baby....

All right, people, back on topic. You've hijacked this thread long enough!

Hey Cobra, no offense but if this is your thread about your campaign, why don't you spend your time creating it instead of wasting your time putting ditsy little posts on here?

For a while I kept putzing around on HLP too, then when the board crashed for two weeks I got a ton of work done on my campaign (well, not a TON but a good amount). If I was still into my campaign during the great crash of 2004 I mighta been finished my campaign already (not bloody likely actually). . .

Anyway, cut the chatter and go get at 'er
