I had a temporary bus driver once who told the entire bus "Jesus loves you!" when we got to the stop.

I thought it was pretty funny and if he got fired because of something like that, I'd be pissed. So, I think that's pretty stupid.

I think she deserves a good slapping (but not a sacking) for even talking to schoolkids about this stuff; I mean you're not talking to anyone old enough to check out these things or who should even care.  Wee kids shouldn't have to worry or care about this sort of thing; let them worry about the morality of stuff when they're older.

But, this does not seem like a sacking offence.  Making conversation, even on this topic is just idle chat.  Kids are smart enough to question what they hear, so what's the big deal?

How can you know that? The driver read something, thought it was interesting, and told the kids to mention it to their parents. It wasn't even as though she said "This is true, ban it now or go to hell!!!!!" or something like that.

Thing is, if someone in Texas got fired for saying that they thought abortion was a good idea, then regardless of whether their sources were accurate or not, I'd consider it a bit unfair.
