I think they are very good, but not perfect for a splash screen.

Other than that I like Axem's first pic.

But IMHO we should use something slightly different anway.

On the one side of the title screen is the old FS2 engine and the old effects and on the other side a shot of the most rescent build with all our new stuff.


The problem to take exactly the same scene for both shots. Looks like a job for a FREDder.

That one is very good, DaBrain. The only thing that should be changed are the horrible textures on the Deimos. Who had that idea to roughen them up. The Deimos looks like it's made from sandstone blocks and not metal plates.

There, I fixed up Axem's screenie for a 1024x768 splash screenie.

You'll just have to remove the old blend-over PCX files (maybe include one as a small version counter in the upper left corner?) as the text is already included.

Damn, I just realized why it got shrinked down. Photobucket doesn't like it when you have a 400kb picture on their server, so they shrink it down to make it less than 250kb. Here's the full 1024x786 one.

The scanlines are a nice touch, too, though they don't scale to 640x480 very well.
