RELEASE: The Journey to Epsilon Pegasi
Today, on the 8th of December in 2004, my second campaign called The Journey to Epsilon Pegasi is released!
I would like to extend my thanks to the following HLP members, who assisted me in making this campaign:

Xelion: Native help: Checking spelling/grammar of the bulk of the texts.
ngtm1r: Testing a specific portion of the campaign, which I was unsure about if it works.

Some necessary information:
  • I included an alternative campaign, which only contains the last three missions of the main campaign. Do not play this before completing the whole. It will be a spoiler.
  • I experienced a crash at the end of mission 3 ONCE. If you encounter this crash, write ASAP.
  • Given the fact I am only capable of running the oldest 3.6 build, I could not test the last chain of missions in the end of the campaign. With the oldest 3.6, the Red Alert Carry Status for ALL ships does not work. As far as I have heard from ngtm1r, this problem does not come up with the newest FSO build(s).
  • Should you encounter any problems relating to the GTD Achilles, remove the high-poly Orion model. The author did not have way to test the high-poly Orion. If you stick to use the new Orion model, write here and I will make a version which does not use the GTD Achilles's nameplate.
  • If you encoutner any technical problems (crashes, weird behavior, etc.), try it with the old 3.6. If the problem persists, write here.
  • In almost all missions you can get a medal for performing extraordinarly. This is not valid for chained red-alert missions and mission 4.
  • The same hotkey assignment system is implemented into this campaign than Renegade Ressurgence. The hotkeys are as follows:
F5: Friendly fighters
F6: Friendly bombers
F7: Hostile fighters
F8: Hostile bombers
F9: Large ships, ranging from cruisers to the largest ships.
F10: Misc ships: containers, sentry guns, freighters.
F11: Nav bouys
  • Lastly, but most importantly: Make a backup copy of your pilot file. I do not know what causes this, but for me, every pilot got screwed up after completing the campaign.
I would like to say have fun for the campaign. Any kind of feedback is welcome.

I believe TopAce is from . . . Croatia? . . . or some place or other so, some of the grammar problems might be expected. I'd play the campaign but its FSO! Which doesn't work too good on my computer.

Ah... well, that explains it. Maybe get someone more fluent to help?

I think some people were helping him out, but I'm not sure how they did. At the moment I've got an abundance of time and could also help, as I have a degree in English I'd probably be a bit more knowledgable than most.

I do not know how Xelion could have left any grammar mistakes in.

I stopped reading his post after I saw that it was FSO, so I never got anywhere near his signature :)

The mission where you:
Spoiler:
Capture the Moloch
is way too hard, I tried using all the fighters and weapons configurations but I couldn't beat it. I had to use cheats to beat it. The rest of the missions are good but the last one is a bit BoE.

BoE?
I did not find the mission you considered hard to be difficult so much. I guess you had problems with the last part of the mission when
Spoiler:
the cruisers jump in

Am I right?

I just finished it. I really enjoyed it. :)

My only real complaint is that the plot is a tad linear.
I finally destoryed the Shivan armada and all I got was this lousy T shirt.
