According to canon, are Ribos and Ikeya in Terran or Vasudan hands?

If you're talking about the status at the beginning of the FS1 campaign, I'd say Terran as far as I know.  I remember that Tombaugh Station is in the Ribos system.

Terran, both in FS1&2. Ribos was apparently a major industrial hub for the GTA, for example, that's were they began the mass-production of the Avenger. Ikeya was propably just anoether backwater system, and it is WAY behind the front lines to be a Vasudan-held system.

Well, technically speaking, they were both under Shivan control for PART of FS1.  That's why I specified "the beginning of FS1".

Dude... that kind of pedantry really isn't worth the rolleyes.

Besides which, it's irrelevant. Guy didn't limit the question to a specific time frame.

 Umm, okay. I just meant that they belonged to the Terrans for the greater majority in the Freespace timeline.

Short answer, I think, is *we don't know*.  There's no definitive canon answer.  Since Tombaugh Station was in Ribos, it was at the least a heavily contested system, at the most a strong Terran system.  Since the Taranis operation was conducted by Terrans, I'd say that Ribos and Ikeya were Terran.

That's only 1/3 of the way through FS1, though.  We don't know if anything changed when FS2 rolled around.

Hm.  Antares was Vasudan, though, as I recall.  I wonder how they could be Terran, since Antares is the only way to get to those systems according to V's node map.

Maybe it is a discrepancy due to the change in the node map between FS and FS2

Well, maybe.  According to several fan sources, Antares is a shared system - probably for this very reason.

I've looked at the Wiki.  Seems the ownership of the systems was very fluid, but originally Antares was Vasudan as near as I can tell.  But the fluidity explains things.

Actually, the rolleyes was more directed at my own statement.  I'm a person that likes to poke holes in statements whenever I can find them.  I know that kind of nitpicking can get annoying (which is kinda the reason I do it :drevil: ) so the rolleyes should be taken as my expected community reaction to my nitpickiness.  No insult was intended Ai No Koriida.
