Okay, here I go.

For sometime, I have been thinking of making a campaign but I'm not sure if people would be interested in its story. Most of you may have noticed it from my signature. Its called Fury Storm. Story goes like this:

The story takes place 18 months (which is one and a half years for those who cannot count  ) after the destruction of the Capella system by the Shivans. All nodes to Capella have been collapsed by the successful detonation of two Orion destroyers loaded with Meson warheads. Hopefully, this will stop the Shivans from ever entering GTVA space again...

Refugees from Capella are still trying to be relocated. Much of the GTVA's resources are devoted to relocating these refugees and maintaining peace. Piracy is at an all time high in the outer systems like Regulas and Mirfak. With their great losses during the second Shivan incursion, the GTVA is hard-pressed to maintain peace and stability in its space. Even the strain on Terran-Vasudan relations is beginning to show. Anti-Vasudan sentiments are growing as many believe that the beliefs of the Neo Terran Front of old were right and that they should ally themselves with the Shivans to ensure survival.

All of a sudden, GTVA forces in the outer systems are defecting to a newly formed Neo Terran Front. Without resistance and hesitation, NTF forces gained control of Procyon A, Mirfak and Epsilon Pegasi. The GTVA, shocked by this development, deployed what little forces they could spare to stop the rebels in Regulas.

In this campaign, the player starts of as the leader of the 67th Desperados elite squadron stationed on the GTD Excellence, flagship of the 6th Fleet. The player will get to play different roles ranging from intercept to bombing. A few missions will include flying with an SOC squadron.

This campaign will hint to the player what is it the rebels are seeking in Regulas and reveal an old design made deadly by the NTF.

So? Opinions? Worth it? Or should I just abandon this campaign?

I have to agree with Ice,...like in GOTP ..the only thing with the NTF is a small remaining group of them GTVA's working to remove now that they don't have to worry about the Shivans, but it's only a part of chapter 1 not the campaign focus.


But hey,..if it's worked out well...anything can be amazing.

I think that any project is worth running, as long as you get personal satisfaction from it. What the heck it the story has been told? All stories have been already told, in one way or another. It's the way you tell it that counts these days. If you can make a thrilling campaign, with a nice story, and you can actually finish it, people will like.

You could add some surprise elements into the story, just to show people that you're not telling the same thing again, but you're starting from a known point to show something completely different. Who knows what it will be on the end?

So I say, go for it.

After due consideration, I have decided to end the campaign. This is due to several reasons including the fact that I'll be going to serve National Service soon and will not have time to do the campaign.

However, I would still like to do single player missions for you all if you request for it. Just give me a geneeral idea of what type of mission you want, what the story of the mission is about and I'll get down to it.

I may also do a few myself just to keep me occupied. I have already done two missions set in the Shivan infested systems beyond Regulas but they need more testing before I release them for the general public.
