The art of The Prism---The Venture
Hi all. This is for my game, The Prism.

The Venture.
Juno-class.
Crew compliment: 100 persons
Weaponry: One 200 MM howitzer, ten 20 MM AAA turrets.
Engines: Two Taro 93J compound engines, outfitted on ejectable pods.
Top controlled speed: 100 M/s

The Venture was launched five years ago to little fanfair and little publicity. Overshadowed by the much larger launch of the Brutus, she was shuffled to the side.
However, her service and her crew has been anything but unremarkable. With an outstanding service record during the Rebellion of Persei, her crew managed to capture an entire frigate, and used her guns to destroy several larger enemy ships before reinforcements could arrive.

With a top controlled speed of over 100 M/s, the Juno class of vessel is also one of the fastest ships in the fleet.  This remarkable speed allows them to get in and get out of hot zones fast, and the detachable boarding vessel (not shown) only helps in this regard, as its heavily armored exterior can deflect almost any weapon fire, and the high performance engines outfitted to its tiny hull allow it to rocket towards the target at over 300 m/s.

What do you guys think? And how was my tech description? :D

NOTE: This is for a standalone game I am developing. Right now Grug and Ransom are the only members of the team, however, if you wish to join, visit www.theprism.tk to see if it's what you're interested in, and/or PM/e-mail me, or post here.

And Grug and Ransom--get to work! :D

About how large are we talking here? It can't be too big, considering armament and crew...

Those humongous engine pods look like they're just waiting to fall off.

I see your point...but the pods are also meant to be ejectable, so perhaps that's why they're on there with only a spanning beam?

Adjusted some things on the ship. Added the front grille, changed the turret, and added the docking craft. :) (shown attached and detached)

And a spanning beam is going to bear the force of the engines at full thrust? :doubt:

Massive engines need massive engine mounts. Anything else just looks silly.
