The textures are making it hard to see the lines. Give us a plain render with no texture on it.

Oh, and maybe you should start off with tile texturing untill you get the hang of it. When you are confortable doing it, move on to UV mapping. Use FS textures to start, then begin making your own custom ones.

The model is not extraordinarly good, but it is still better than my fighter models.

i'll probably add lasers sometime.  Yeah, I can't do terran fighter/bombers too well off the top of my head.  I'm better at looking at other things and making conversions.  Same with textures.  I don't have that kind of fighter imagination.
