They were jealous because the Vasudan's had a brilliant recovery from the Great War and the Terran economy had virtually collapsed. (Though how the Vasudans did anything is beyond me since their home planet was annihilated)

There is a CBAni where a Vasudan City is blasted by the lucy IIRC.   It has a few skyscrapers but you can't see that much before it is destroyed.

I believe there is a concept art piece showing a Vasudan city floating around (you'll have to look).  I remember there being lots of Vasudan faces (the Emperor) in the picture.  I could be wrong.
