I'm using Omegas these days, but not that long ago, I was still using the ATI cats. Unfortunately, since the 4.8s, the drivers have been unstable in default mode, so I had to make a few minor setting changes as soon as windows loaded, before my screen became corrupted. Unfortunately, when ATI introduced their catalyst control center, said addition refused to load for me. I wasn't too concerned, as the features I needed were still part of the standard interface, but when the 4.12s came out, ALL advanced conrols were moved to the CCC, which still refused to load. I managed to find a way to get windows to opperate with passable stability in default mode, enough to email ATI. I first got their automated reply system, with instructions on what info to send them to better diagnose my problem. Unfortunately, then must have not even skimmed my email, because they replied that what I needed was .NET v1.1, which I told them i DID have in my email... and this is the message that was said to have been sent by an actual tech guy. After that, I sent them back an email questioning their compotence and switched to Omegas, which solved my issues. ATI Cats no more!
