Kevin J. Andreson's Star Wars books aren't the most, um, popular Star Wars books out there.  I guess some people just think he plain sucks.

[edit]  To clarify, I think that 1984 pic is meant to make fun of Anderson because they think he could never write something like that.

Kevin J Anderson, also known as KJA, wrote rather horrible books for Star Wars, Dune and Starcraft, and possibly others too. Sci-fi fans generally hate his guts, because his writing quality sucks, and he writes a lot, for some of the most well-known sci-fi out there.
Generally, him writing anything good, well-known and recognised as an excellent book is just a teeny bit improbable, just like certain Mr. starting to be polite on the Internet.;) [and making games that don't catch enough flak to bring down a zeppelin]
