Yeah, I know plenty of why these missions are almost never done, but I would imagine by now that somebody would have gotten it right. I mean look at these things.
Derelict had one that was excellent. It had a huge beam fight going on about twenty klicks out while you struggled to protect the damaged GTFf Cypher from three Shivan cruisers and multiple wings of Seraphim.
I remember that, and I also remember it being the only Derelict mission I didnt like, for that very reason. Pre-Scripted battles=bad.
I mean, you could have wings of destroyers, corvettes, cruisers, etc
Oh, hell no! That was far from what I wanted in a "BoE" mission. For these missions to work, there HAS to be an attack and defensive Otherwise there would be no point to it. 2 big forces facing off. So what? When I said "believable", I meant just that. One big, but unsuspecting fleet was just hit hard by a major opposing force. You know... Kinda like the Battle of Endor.
OT: Anyway, as far as the Inferno mission, I'm afraid I havent seen it. For some reason, I cant get past mission 4 (I think). After all the shivan fighters were destroyed, and the station is ready to be captured, I get the OK to jump out. Then a cruiser pops in, and I arrogantly go after it. And ofcourse I die

. Why cant I just be smart and hit alt-j? WHY?? DAMMIT ALL!
