   I thought of this when I was thinking about war, and proceeded to think about WW2 and their carriers ect.


   You know how on ships at sea and airplanes, there's always a "logo" on their craft? The Japanese had the "sun", etc. I would think this kind of influence would go into space as well, and every ship would have a "logo" on it. GTA would have a logo, GTV would have a logo, and NTF would have a logo.

   Your thoughts?

They do already have logos although for some reason they never seem to be on the ships.

I think a GTVA logo would look good on the front of all the ships

yea thats what I'm talking about, having logos on their ships. It would make sense if they would, but they don't

Yeah, I think having logos and perhaps even registration numbers would make the ships look cool.  Seeing English letters and numbers on the Omega and Hyperion warships from Earthforce (Babylon 5) sorta enhanced their "Earthy" look, in my opinion.

Last night I started reskinning the Fenris/Leviathon into my Athlon class (the successor). I took this topic into account and decided to put the GTVA logo on the side of the hull. It looks rather good. Although, I'm not entirely happy with my reskin, but it'll do.

Don't you think the Fenris/Leviathon is the hardest model to reskin?!

the Hercules in the FS2 intro had a logo in it: GTA symbol with Earth and a Phoenix in it. Why this hasn't been made into a usable logo for FS2 I don't know as it is actually the coolest one around.

The problem with registration numbers and stuff is that you need to put different ones on every ship.... that would be very difficult considering how FS handles models and textures.

Yea, but I wasn't thinking about registration numbers, just a logo on the ship. Generic logo  

Just slap another surface on the model and texture it with the logo

Yeah, it's a shame too since it'd look really cool in the B5 MOD.  But I'd rather have lots of different ships than a bunch of Omega destroyers with their individual names printed on them.  The table space...

Yeah, that is a cool logo. As for being made into a useable logo - who would make it?   wouldn't, as a GTA logo would have no place in the GTVA of FS2.

I don't know why they wouldn't have the phoenix squad in the gtva.  
They mention that the hammerheads were on the galetae and other ships as well.
